Camp Hoover 2008
Season runs June 30-August 29, 2008

All girls entering grades 1-12 in the fall of 2008 are welcome at Camp Hoover! The Girl Scouts are committed to providing inclusive programming opportunities to all girls who accept the Girl Scout Promise and Law.

This year we are offering Camp Exclusive Badges and a new Horse Badge for girls to earn. Older girls can head off for outdoors adventure in the Thousand Islands or Pennsylvania.

Girl Scout Trading Post
Located at Camp Hoover from July-August, The Girl Scout Trading Post carries a wide variety of Girl Scout merchandise...so don’t forget to bring your Cookie Dough cards!!!

Financial Assistance Available:
For those who receive Family Assistance from the Department of Social Services- girls are eligible for up to $400 toward day camp. For more information please contact Sara.

Girls who want to come to camp may register as Girl Scouts or the non-member fee. Membership in Girl Scouting is voluntary and open to all girls, (grades K thru 12) who accept the Girl Scout Promise and Law, regardless of race, creed, color and socio-economic status, national origin or disability. Every effort is made to make reasonable accommodation for girls with disabilities and special needs – physical, emotional, social and dietary needs.

Every week offers exciting opportunities – many choices for quality, well-supervised Girl Scout adventures! Register for one week, two or more – discounts can apply for early registration, multiple sessions, and for families with many children. Sessions do not have to be consecutive.

Camp Hoover is located on 90 acres of land located on the shore of Song Lake. Girls can swim in the lake, hike the trails, or hold activities in the large fields of the property. Camp Hoover includes Girl Scout Island which is located in the middle of Song Lake. It is used for overnight camping and other activities. Two year-round lodges, tent camping and cabins are available for use.

Camp Near Wilderness offers girls rustic adventure on a 200 acre camp located on North Pond in Parish, New York. This property includes two year-round lodges, large playing fields, a ropes course, cabins and tent camping.

at Camp Hoover or Camp Near Wilderness? Troops and service units can reserve space at Camp Hoover all year long. Nonprofit organizations can also rent Camp Hoover.
