Girl Scout Council Delegates

Any registered Girl Scout 14 years of age or over, is eligible to be elected as a voting member of a local Girl Scout council corporation. A specific geographic area (or other unit established by the council board of directors) elects the delegate to represent it at the council's annual meeting. Delegates serve for a set term, which is defined in the council's bylaws. The board creates the formula for the number of delegates geographic areas can elect, which is usually based on the total number of girls an area registers through the council by a specific date.
