Outreach Programs Inner-Connections Inner Connections provides opportunities to all girls to participate in programs regardless of economic, social, or physical challenges. Girls in this program participate in the entire Girl Scout experience from troop meetings to camp to attending programs. If you would like to learn more about Inner Connections please contact our Senior Specialist for Outreach Services Kate. As part of the Inner Connections program, GSCCNY will be launching the first Girl Scouts Beyond Bars (GSBB) program in New York State. GSBB is a national initiative of Girl Scouts USA. The first program started in Baltimore in 1994 to provide the daughters of incarcerated women with Girl Scout programming. Girls and their mothers participate in a troop meeting at a correctional facility. The girls also meet as a troop in their community and participate in Girl Scout activities. There are currently more than 40 GSBB programs at councils across the country. |
